• Payment information: Your email address and payment details are collected by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

• Communication data: Information you provide when contacting our support team, including your email address and message content.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To process vehicle history searches and generate reports.
• To process payments and deliver purchased reports via email.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We share your information with the following third parties only as necessary to provide our Service:

• InfoAgent Pty Ltd (Australia): Our authorised NEVDIS data broker. We submit your registration plate and state to InfoAgent to query the National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System (NEVDIS) and Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) on your behalf. InfoAgent is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles.
• Stripe Inc (United States): Our payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your email address and payment information. Your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
• Resend Inc (United States): Our email delivery provider. We provide Resend with your email address to send report delivery emails and transactional notifications. Your email address is transferred to and processed in the United States.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Overseas Disclosures

In providing our Service, your personal information may be disclosed to recipients located outside Australia:

• United States: Your email address is disclosed to Stripe (payment processing) and Resend (email delivery), both of which process data in the United States.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Data Retention

We retain your report data for a period of 12 months to allow you to access your purchased reports. After this period, detailed report data and vehicle data are permanently deleted from our systems. Basic transaction records (registration number, state, report tier, and payment status) are retained for audit purposes.

Transaction records and payment information held by Stripe are retained in accordance with Stripe's data retention policies and applicable financial record-keeping requirements.

Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely for the purpose of improving our Service.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Lodge a complaint about how we handle your personal information.

What we collect and how

When you submit a vehicle search, we collect your vehicle registration plate number and state/territory (entered by you into the search form). When you purchase a report, we collect your email address. Your IP address and standard web analytics data are collected automatically.

Why we collect it

Your registration plate and state are collected for the primary purpose of performing a vehicle history check — querying government databases including the PPSR and NEVDIS to generate a report for you. Secondary purposes include: processing your payment, delivering your report by email, detecting fraud and misuse, and improving our service through anonymised analytics.

Is collection required by law?

No. Providing your registration plate, state, and email address is voluntary. However, we cannot perform a vehicle check or deliver a report without this information.

Who we share your information with

We disclose your information to: InfoAgent Pty Ltd (Australia) our authorised NEVDIS data broker; Stripe Inc (United States) for payment processing; and Resend Inc (United States) for email delivery. We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosures

Your email address is disclosed to Stripe and Resend, both of which process data in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
