Limitations
What we can't check
No vehicle history report can cover everything. We believe in being upfront about our limitations so you can make informed decisions.
Service & maintenance history
No centralised service history database exists in Australia. Always request the seller's service logbook or records.
Private accident damage
Accidents not reported to an insurer will not appear in claim history data. A physical inspection is recommended.
Tasmanian stolen vehicle data
Stolen vehicle data from Tasmania is not included in PPSR search results. Reports for Tasmanian vehicles include a disclosure about this limitation.
Mechanical condition
Our reports assess history, not current condition. Always arrange a professional mechanical inspection before purchasing.
Odometer accuracy
Odometer readings are self-reported at registration and service events. Discrepancies may exist between actual and recorded kilometres.
Write-off records older than 15 years
The Written-Off Vehicle Register (WOVR) only covers vehicles up to 15 years old. Older vehicles may have unrecorded write-off history.
